The key to a successful fitness program

We like to call it “lifestyle adaptation”. Your fitness habits should become a part of your daily routine. Take the stairs when you can. Add walks to your day. Make small life changes as you work towards your goal. Change habits.

Your nutritional and exercise choices should not be that thing you do when you have time. It's who you are. You make healthy decisions because, well, they are healthy and make you feel great.

Maintenance of your hard earned results is an aspect of your health and fitness plan that you should always have in the back of your mind. If you make appropriate lifestyle changes, the things you need to do to stay fit will become second nature.

...and not as difficult as you think.

Your health will still require self awareness and dedication, but once you have met your goal you can keep the results because it's just a part of who you are.  If you have been working to drop body fat, you've undoubtedly become all too familiar with operating in a deficit. But the deficit goes away. Eating to lose weight is not the same as losing to maintain.

Imagine the possibilities:

You've incorporated good health into your daily life. Your hard work has paid off. You feel more energetic than you have in quite some time. A casual bike ride is not exercise ...it's fun! You feel confident strolling up and down the beach. You've re-trained your taste buds to know what good food really is. Life is good. Enjoy it!
